Part of the 2019-20 Sadler Seminar Series Animist Engagements: Creativity, Ecology and Indigeneity, this workshop will explore the relationship between cinema and animism.
Focusing on Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s 2004 film Tropical Malady / Sat Pralaat, we will ask how cinema engages with animist practices, and to what extent cinema can develop an animist aesthetic.
This event is open to everyone and there is no need to register. Please watch the film before attending.
