The School of History invites you to join us to celebrate the launch of Professor Major's new book.
Reimagining Empire in India: George Thompson, Anti-Slavery Activism, and the Global Networks of British Colonial Reform, 1831-1858 is published by Bloomsbury (2025).
He is an intriguing character, being both incredibly charismatic and frustratingly flawed.
Find out more about the book in an interview with Professor Major about the book here.
