Alex Shaw on Brunei counterinsurgency

Alex's latest article on British counterinsurgency in Brunei 1962-63 has just been published in the journal Small Wars & Insurgencies.

British counterinsurgency in Brunei and Sarawak, 1962–1963: developing best practices in the shadow of Malaya.

Alex's PhD project looks at British colonial security and the Cold War in Hong Kong and Singapore from the late-1940s to early 1960s. Alex is funded by the White Rose College for the Arts and Humanities.
