Jakob Donskov has Publication Accepted in Synthese
Jakob Donskov has a forthcoming paper in Synthese on the value of knowledge as a safeguard against misleading evidence.
The paper, Resisting counterevidence: no knowledge needed, discusses and rejects the idea that knowledge can play an irreducible role in safeguarding us against misleading evidence. The paper offers an evidential account of rational resistance spelled out in a Bayesian framework in terms of degrees of credal resilience. The account is then applied to evalutate Harman’s solution to Kripke's dogmatism paradox.
Jakob is a PhD student at the University of Leeds. His main interests are epistemology, both traditional and formal, and metaphysics.
