Congratulations to Dr Emma Stafford who has been promoted to Professor of Greek Culture

Emma is the first female Professor of Classics in the history of the institution.

We are delighted to announce that, following a University process, Dr Emma Stafford has been promoted to a Chair and takes on the title of Professor of Greek Culture.

Emma's new title reflects her research and teaching interests, which include ancient Greek history and literature, and the reception of Greek myth.

Emma is the first female Professor of Classics at the University of Leeds – a very well-deserved accolade.
