The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures signs Memorandum of Understanding with Khon Kaen University
The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Khon Kaen University.
On 8 November, the University of Leeds hosted a meeting with delegates from Khon Kaen University: Associate Professor, Dr Orathai Piayura, Dean of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences; Dr Prapas Kaewketpong, Assistant to the Dean for Special Affairs and Ms. Chudapa Khlungsaeng, Head of International Affairs Group to discuss ways of working together.
The collaboration will initially focus on academic exchanges for teachers and students, including short courses for students and training courses for language teachers, as well as research exchange and collaboration.
I am convinced that the signing of this partnership agreement marks the starting point of many exciting collaborative projects between our institutions. Based on the MoU, we intend to develop a wealth of opportunities for international research collaboration and student and staff mobility. We very much look forward to working together to enable students and staff to develop their skills, knowledge and careers.
Professor Andrew Thorpe, Executive Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, signed the MoU with Associate Professor, Dr Orathai Piayura. Professor Manuel Barcia Paz, Professor Emma Cayley, Professor Duncan Wheeler, Professor Martin Seeger and Adcharawan Seeger attended the event.
Khon Kaen University is based in the northeastern region of Thailand, and is ranked 6th in Thailand (QS World University Rankings 2023).
