Job Opportunity: Research and Teaching Fellow in British History

Do you have a research interest in the history of the British Army between 1790 and 1820? Are you interested in how archival records can be reconfigured through digital humanities technologies?

Are you an academic with proven abilities to deliver research-led teaching in British History, with a focus on the armed forces and society? Do you have the ability to motivate and inspire students?

The School of History at the University of Leeds is looking to appoint a Research and Teaching Fellow to motivate and inspire students and to also contribute to research-led teaching in the School.

You will carry out teaching in British History, with a focus on the armed forces and society, in particular the Level 3 Special Subject HIST3685 Georgians at War, the level 2 option HIST2505 Archive Intelligence, and the MA module HIST5540M Defending the Nation.

You will have a PhD in British History, or a cognate discipline (or be close to submission) and relevant teaching experience.
