Dr Sara Tafakori wins 2021 Catharine Stimpson Prize for Outstanding Feminist Scholarship

The Catherine Stimpson Prize for Outstanding Feminist Scholarship is awarded by the University of Chicago Press and Signs Journal.

Dr Sara Tafakori has received the award for her article Digital Feminism beyond Nativism and Empire: Affective Territories of Recognition and Competing Claims to Suffering in Iranian Women’s Campaigns.

Named in honor of the founding editor of Signs, the Catharine Stimpson Prize is designed to recognize excellence and innovation in the work of emerging feminist scholars.

Applications for the 2023 Catharine Stimpson Prize for Outstanding Feminist Scholarship are now open. The deadline for submissions is Friday 1 April 2022.
