Screenwriting tutors hit BBC peak-time

Two Leeds screenwriting tutors will be writing for peak-time BBC television fiction series in 2020.

BAFTA winner Alison Hume (pictured, left) has been commissioned by Holby City, after contributing an episode to the long-running hospital drama last year.

Meanwhile, Sue Everett (pictured, right) will be working on the pathology investigations show Silent Witness.

Both Alison and Sue teach regularly on the MA Writing for Performance and Digital Media course within the School of Performance and Cultural Industries, especially on the Writing for Film and Television and Story Workshop modules.

Alison’s past credits include Summerhill, for which she won her BAFTA, and the popular children’s sci-fi series The Sparticle Mystery, both for the BBC. Sue’s credits include the crime dramas Hinterland for the BBC and A Mind to Kill for Channel 5.
