The return of Opera North to the School of Music

August is an exciting month for Opera North, the School of Music and MEETinLEEDS.

We welcomed the Opera North Orchestra Academy, aimed at 14-19 year olds, for a week-long residential course involving rehearsing and performing existing orchestral repertoire, side-by-side rehearsal with the full Orchestra of Opera North and sectional coaching with the professional musicians.

The Opera North Orchestra Camp will visit the School of Music to offer 10-18 year olds the opportunity to perform with professional players from the Orchestra of Opera North. The budding musicians will be able to develop their technical and musical ability in a creative and supportive environment.
