The latest research seminar from the Centre for Religion and Public Life will be with Dr Mmapula Diana Kebaneilwe.
The Centre for Religion and Public Life at the University of Leeds is delighted to announce a research seminar with Dr Mmapula Diana Kebaneilwe (University of Botswana).
The title of her presentation is
"Ravaged Bodies and Ravaged Earth: An Eco-womanist Reading of Numbers 35:33-34"
Dr Kebaneilwe is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Botswana.
She is a Womanist Scholar of Hebrew and Old Testament Studies. She obtained her PhD from the University of Murdoch in Perth, Australia in 2012. She is currently a Project Partner and Collaborator with Professor Johanna Stiebert at the University of Leeds (UK) on The Shiloh Project on Rape Culture, Religion and the Bible.
She recently co-edited the book Mother Earth, Mother Africa and Mission (SUN Press, 2021).
The seminar will take place online, via MS Teams, and is open to members of the Centre for Religion and Public Life, other academic staff and research students at Leeds, and anyone with an interest in the topic.
