Profile
I am a lecturer in fashion marketing at School of Design (University of Leeds). My primary fields of interest and expertise are in consumer behaviour, visual merchandising, fashion retailing, fashion e-tailing, product placement and design, branding, advertising and art marketing. I am experienced in designing and conducting experiments. My expertise is in quantitative marketing research, including data collection, analysis, and statistical testing. I am also interested in certain qualitative research methods. I have a Masters Degree in Strategic Marketing and Consulting from the University of Birmingham. My Master's dissertation and final year consultancy project was on the impact of the retail store environment on consumers' brand perceptions. The focus of my Ph.D. thesis (Cardiff University) was on the impact of visual merchandise display on consumer purchases of luxury brands. I have also undertaken a numbers of consultancy projects (off-line or on-line visual merchandising) working with Wyatt International Ltd and S.Oliver.
