A bilingual lecturer, with nineteen years of experience lecturing in French, EFL and EAP in the UK. I have ten years experience teaching English in France, both in universities and in the private sector. Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Proven leadership skills involving designing and teaching own syllabus. First-class creative and problem-solving skills. Extremely conscientious.
Major achievements
- Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes at the University of Leeds, (pre-sessional summer courses for Masters students) 2017-22
- Lecturer in Academic English on AEPS level 3 (2018 and 2020)
- Published in 2010: Revision of Hodder Education’s “Essential French verbs” – released in March 2010.
- Managing Director of language school, Yorkshire French
- Lecturer in French at the University of Leeds. (Modules have included full-time undergraduate seminars, elementary French and Students without Borders for students of medicine)
- Lecturer in French and EFL at Leeds Beckett University. This includes a varied range of learners, from beginners to advanced adult evening classes, undergraduates, tailored learning business courses and EFL and French summer school programmes
- YouTube channel with online grammar tutorials entitled “Le verbe de la semaine”; this is a method which has been tried and tested on students with great success over the past fifteen years.
- Designed and delivered own Masters Module entitled “British Satire and social comment through the Arts” at major European business school.
- Organised and performed in 6 concert tour with own French pop band in London. Has written, recorded and released 4 albums to date.
