Dr Edward Elliott


Edward joined the School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science in January 2016 as a postdoctoral researcher, and began as a Lecturer in July of the same year. Between Febrary 2017 and January 2019, he will be undertaking a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship on his project, 'The Nature of Graded Belief'.

Edward's current research focuses primarily on the philosophy of mind, especially as it relates to degrees of belief and related notions. He also does research in formal epistemology, decision theory, and the philosophy of language, especially theories of meaning and content, formal semantics, and two-dimensional semantics.
