MA Funding in the School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science

The School is pleased to announce that it has several funding opportunities available for taught Masters students for 2026-27 entry, in addition to the many offered by the University more generally.

School funding opportunities for full-time or part-time MA study include the following:

•    One PRHS Head of School Excellence Scholarship – full UK fees for an applicant to any taught Masters programme in PRHS.
•    One Mangoletsi-Potts Scholarship – full UK fees for an applicant to the taught MA Philosophy programme with demonstrable interests in theoretical philosophy, broadly construed.
•    One Leeds Church Institute Scholarship for Theology and Religious Studies – £12,000 scholarship for a UK student studying on the taught MA Religion programme.

The University of Leeds makes available a wide range of other scholarships for UK and international Masters students.  In addition, University of Leeds graduates are entitled to apply for a 10% discount on tuition fees.  See the University of Leeds Postgraduate Scholarships website, which also provides links to external funding for Masters students.

Applicants are encouraged to attend the Postgraduate Virtual Open Day on 25 April 2026.
