Profile

In my role as Lead Technician for the School of PCI, I have management and strategic oversight of our specialist technical resources and facilities, including a responsibility for operational safety. I am responsible for the management, wellbeing and development of our technical staff. I work collaboratively as part of our technical team to deliver advanced technical support to Staff, Students and visiting artists. I provide support to taught activity, assessment and research; and have my own research interests exploring the relationship between pedagogy and the role of technicians in HE.

I am a multi-skilled technician with a particular interest in lighting design and technology for performance. I hold a BA (Hons) in Performance Design from the University of Leeds, and have previously worked in the Technical Department and on tour with Opera North.
