Profile

My role as Research Impact Development Officer is to support the School and its academic staff to enhance the quality of the research impact. I help to find, record and organise the evidence of impact and make sure that the impact activities are integrated within research grant applications. I also play a role in the planning and delivery of outward-facing activities such as conferences, public lectures, industry-focused events and book launches, working with non-academic audiences to maximise their impact. The School’s Director for Research and Innovation and the Director of Impact are the two people I work very closely with.

Research interests

There are many ways how the interactions between health, society and environment have been conceived. During my ESRC postdoctoral fellowship I became interested in the rhythmic organisation underpinning our biologies, economic and cultural infrastructures, and environmental change. How do these systems synchronise or desynchronize in time and place and what are the effects on our health and wellbeing?

My initial inquiry was encapsulated in the animated documentary Cellular Vessel (2022), funded by the ESRC, and available on my blog: https://dysrhythmiauk.wordpress.com/2023/01/15/cellular-vessel-trailer/.
