Profile

I currently work within both the School of Music and the School of Performance and Cultural Industries here at the University of Leeds, where I focus on providing comprehensive programme support. My responsibilities include managing module enrolments, monitoring student engagement, and handling registration processes to ensure that students’ academic journeys run smoothly. I also oversee student email communications, offering responses to queries, and helping students navigate any academic or personal issues that may arise during their studies. Additionally, I support the running of school events alongside my colleague Emily, aimed at promoting a healthy work-life balance for students.

Academically, I hold a BSc in Psychology from Lancaster University and an MSc in Development, Disorders, and Clinical Practice from the University of York. My academic background has given me a deep understanding of mental health, development, and wellbeing, which I draw upon in my daily work. For my Masters dissertation, I researched the experiences of neurotypical parents and siblings of young people with Down syndrome, exploring the emotional, psychological, and practical challenges they face. This research has furthered my empathy and understanding, especially when supporting students with diverse backgrounds and needs. I also hold various qualifications in counselling and life coaching which I have carried out since graduating from York in 2022.

Outside of work, I have a passion for musical theatre, with my favourite show being Come From Away. I find its story and music incredibly moving and inspiring. I also love to travel, exploring new places and cultures whenever I get the chance, with my favourite city I’ve ever visited being Vienna! When I'm not travelling, I enjoy spending quality time with loved ones. My hobbies allow me to recharge and maintain a balanced approach to both my personal life and professional responsibilities.
