School of Music to host Korean Music Festival, Lecture, Concert & Workshop Series
The School of Music will host a Korean Music Festival, Lecture, Concert & Workshop Series on Thursday 13 - Friday 14 June 2024.
The University of Leeds’ School of Music will host a special Korean Music Festival, Lecture, Concert & Workshop Series this summer.
Kicking off on Thursday 13 June with introductions by the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures’ Executive Dean, Professor Andrew Thorpe, Pro Dean International Dr Jasjit Singh, and the Korean Cultural Centre UK, as well as a key lecture by Dr Sunhee Koo, University of Auckland, the festival will run until late on Friday 14 June.
Attendees can look forward to a range of Korean music concerts, pop-up booths, lectures, workshops and food stalls. The festival will close with a performance by James An, one of the rising names in the South Korean hip hop scene, at Stylus.
