Dr Scott McLaughlin’s new music broadcast on BBC Radio 3

Dr Scott McLaughlin’s new work ‘Natura Naturans II’ for clarinet and string sexet was recently broadcast on BBC Radio 3's New Music show and is available to access until 12 December.

Natura Naturans II is a reworking of Dr McLaughlin’s clarinet concerto for the 2021 Tectonics Festival, altered from orchestra to string sexet, performed here by Heather Roche and Apartment House ensemble at the Wigmore Hall (London).

The piece developed out of Dr McLaughlin’s larger research project on exploring the indeterminacy of the clarinet: the AHRC Leadership Fellowship project ‘The Garden of forking Paths’.
