The Portuguese Queer Fado band, Fado Bicha, will be making their Leeds premiere at the Hyde Park Book Club, on Friday 8th November
Celebrate 50 Years of the Portuguese Revolution in style!
In their UK premiere, the unashamedly Queer, anti-racist and anti-fascist musical duo Fado Bicha (Lila Fadista and João Caçador) will perform their unique blend: traditional Portuguese Fado singing, feisty electric guitar and daring political messages.
Giving voice to all in the LGBTQ+ community, racial minorities and oppressed communities, Lila and João will introduce their revolutionary musical project, 50 years after Portugal's fascist dictatorship fell. Students, young professionals, Queer-identifying locals and international music fans will love this concert. Audience sing-alongs encouraged!
Doors will open at 19:30. Enjoy a drink at the Hyde Park Book Club bar before, during or after the gig.
