Bonfire Night Royal Armouries Interview

In time for bonfire night, the Royal Armouries interviewed Axel E W Müller, the Director of the IMC (International Medieval Congress), about the Firework Book, a 15th-century medieval manuscript.

The interview, titled, 'The Firework Book: A 15th-century Manuscript', can be viewed here. This German manuscript called Feuerwerkbuch, or the Book of Fireworks, is located in the Royal Armouries collections. Müller's research on early gunpowder and gunpowder artillery informed the discussion of this manuscript, which is a reference book for gunpowder manufacturers and those who work with making fire or explosions.

A rare manuscript, the Royal Armouries holds the only copy in the UK, with only about 70 copies around the world.
