Workshop: The School of History from Below

A workshop exploring the history of the School of History. Come along to explore what we know and potential research avenues.

This workshop will explore the history of our very own School of History, which goes back nearly 125 years. We’ll explore some archival materials relating to the School (come and find yourself or colleagues in some of our old graduation photos!) and think about what we might do to write a history of the School from below, thinking radically about histories of inclusion and exclusion, and the experiences of students, staff and others involved over the last century and more.

This event is organised by the Women, Gender and Sexuality research group and the Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums research groups in the School of History.
