Public View at the Bluecoat

Work by Emma Rushton, Lecturer in Fine Art, will feature in an exhibition at the Bluecoat, Liverpool, opening on Saturday 4 February.

Public View marks the 300 anniversary of the Bluecoat building and includes 100 artists taken from exhibitions from the last 50 years, such as Lubaina Himid, Yinka Shonibare, Yoko Ono and Jeremy Deller.

Curated by Bluecoat’s Artistic Director Bryan Biggs, the exhibition aims to reflect something of Bluecoat’s curatorial distinctiveness and the breadth of artists it has supported over this period.

Public View will include paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures and videos, many of them previously presented by Bluecoat, some re-made especially for the show, and others completely new.

The private view is on Friday 3 February from 6pm. The exhibition continues until Sunday 23 April. Open daily, free entry.
