Visiting Artist's Talk - Gabriella Boyd

Gabriella Boyd (b.1988) studied at Glasgow School of Art (2007-11) where she won the Chairman’s Medal (2011) and is currently at the Royal Academy Schools, London (2014-2017).

She was shortlisted for the John Moores Painting Prize in 2016 and her group exhibitions include: Saatchi New Sensations (special commendation) at Victoria House (London, 2011), Catlin Art Prize 2012 at Londonewcastle Project Space (London), Beijing International Art Biennale (2012), The Yellow Wallpaper at Cob Gallery (London, 2012), Whispers at Ronchini Gallery (London, 2015), Premiums: Interim Projects Royal Academy London 2016 and Gabriella Boyd & Marco Giordano for Glasgow International 2016. Solo shows include: Strong Necks at High House Gallery (Oxford, 2013) and illustrations for a Folio Society edition of Sigmund Freud’s Interpreting Dreams (trans. JA Underwood, 2015).

The VAT series hosts talks by an exciting range of arts practitioners from around the world every Monday afternoon 14:00 to 15:30 during teaching weeks.

This is the last talk in the series for this semester. All of our talks are compulsory for all Fine Art students but open to anyone else who would like to join us.
