Visiting Artist's Talk - Lucy Skaer

Lucy Skaer (b.1975) studied at Glasgow School of Art and now lives and works between Glasgow and New York.

Her many solo exhibitions include: Fruitmarket Gallery (Edinburgh, 2008); ‘The Siege’ at Chisenhale Gallery (London, 2008); ‘A Boat Used As A Vessel’ at Kunsthalle Basel (2009); ‘Exit, Voice and Loyalty’ at Tramway (Glasgow, 2013) and Murray Guy (New York, 2014); and ‘One Remove’ at Witte de With (Brussels, 2016). She has participated in numerous group shows in Europe and America, including ‘Art Under Attack – Histories of British Iconoclasm’ at Tate Britain (London, 2013). She represented Scotland at the 52nd Venice Biennale in 2007, was nominated for the Turner Prize in 2009 and the Prix Canson in 2016.
