FUAM Graduate Art Prize Exhibition 2018

An exhibition showcasing the work of recent graduates of the University of Leeds, including work by BA Fine Art alumni Hannah Marsh and Katie Clark.

Now in its sixth year, the FUAM Graduate Art Prize, supported by the Friends of University Art & Music (FUAM), rewards the artistic excellence of students completing BA Art & Design and BA Fine Art at the University of Leeds in 2018.

This exhibition showcases the work of this year's four finalists:

• Beth Windmill (Art and Design)
• Hannah Marsh (Fine Art)
• Katie Clark (Fine Art)
• Tayisiya Shovgelia (Art and Design)

The finalists were selected by an expert panel of judges from the Degree shows at the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies and School of Design at the University of Leeds.

The judging panel comprised of Nigel Walsh, Contemporary Art Curator at Leeds Art Gallery, Amy Charlesworth, Lecturer in Art History with the Open University, and Luke Windsor, Deputy Dean of Arts, Humanities and Cultures at the University of Leeds.

Hannah Marsh and Katie Clark both graduated this summer with degrees from the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies. Their work was exhibited alongside that of 56 other artists across the School’s studio, project and shared spaces in June as part of the 2018 BA Fine Art Degree Show, SQUEEZE.

On 26 September 2018, the judges announced Hannah Marsh as the the overall winner of this year’s FUAM Graduate Art Prize. Hannah was also the winner of the People’s Choice Award.
