An evening of music featuring artists from Come Play With Me. Think lo-fi beats, singer-songwriter vibes, soul, pop, and indie-folk.
tinyumbrellas, also known as DT, has been developing their unique brand of folky daydream indie pop for a few years. Beginning as a lockdown pastime on a bedroom floor in Norfolk with a guitar, ukulele and GarageBand, tinyumbrellas has since developed into a fully-fledged artist project, with their 2024 EP ‘i know trees are falling’ gaining support from Radio 1, and playing Glastonbury on the BBC Introducing Stage. Inspired by the likes of Big Thief and Elliott Smith, tinyumbrellas’ music touches heartstrings with a profound ode to all forms of love - platonic, romantic, or simply an admiration for life's poignant beauty.
Alice Kim might be carving her path in the world of alternative-indie and RnB, but her sound is universal: intimate, relatable and unapologetically human. If her music feels like it knows you, it’s because she’s singing straight from the heart.
Hailing from a small Midlands village, Kim’s early musical interest came from her parents’ 80s record collection, stacks of sister's burnt RnB CDs, and endless hours with a Sony Discman. When she moved to Leeds aged 18, Kim began to perform and write with different band outfits (New Position, Tete de Pois, Belgrave House band). Only in the last couple of years, Alice Kim has broken away to mark a new path as a solo artist.
Kim began creating cute funky soulful demos and slowly began to create a sound that was DIY in its production, but packed full of emotive melodies. She was picked up by Launchpad + and from there, has soared over the last year with Radio plays, festival runs and now, a UK tour.
Kim's Debut EP, PLAYER TWO, unveils her vulnerability, showcasing a certain maturity that comes with over a decade of understanding herself as an artist. Kim explores the uncertainty and milestones of being in your late 20s, with warm production from Ed Allen and soulful emotionally charged songwriting from Kim that feels both fresh and familiar. Although heartfelt, the magic really lies in the live shows - with a lighthearted delivery, Kim creates a comfortable intimate show, delivering incredible vocals accompanied by an exceptional band. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a show featuring one of the country's finest up and coming vocalists.
