Renaissance drama in practice in the Workshop Theatre in the School of English, University of Leeds
Convenors: Dr José A. Pérez Díez and Matthew Blaiden.
You are cordially invited to explore the rich and varied worlds of Renaissance drama in The Playhouse Lab through script-in-hand, totally improvised staged readings of both familiar and less well-known plays from across the period. Casts for each play are made up of a range of students, staff, friends, and colleagues from the University of Leeds and beyond.
ALL WELCOME - whether you want to sit back and watch, or - even better - join in! No experience or knowledge required. If you would like to sign up to read a part (or two or three!), whether on a particular date or regularly across the season, please e-mail the convenors at PlayhouseLab@gmail.com
All readings include an interval, in which nibbles, wine, and other refreshments are served
