Launch of 'Reimagining Ageing Interdisciplinary Research Network'

Reimaging Ageing is a new interdisciplinary research network, supported by the Horizons Institute at University of Leeds.

Aging, while inevitable should also be challenging, exciting and stimulating as it is ultimately a privilege to age. Ageing can often be conceptualised as a narrow biological process but these conceptions of ageing need to be reimagined to consider how older people contribute to society and how we can all make the most of  life as we age

Reimagining Ageing will facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to co-create novel, imaginative responses to the global challenge of successful ageing, with a focus on reducing inequalities in later life. The network is supported by Leeds City Council, Leeds Public Health, and leading local and national third sector organisations. As a research network we will align our research themes with the Leeds City strategic plans to provide a clear route for impact and an opportunity for implementing change across our city.
