- Thesis title: DEVELOPING DESIGN PATTERN INNOVATION FRAMEWORK FOR BATIK LOCAL CRAFTSMEN
- Supervisor: Dr Briony Thomas
Profile
I studied craft textiles as an undergraduate and design master at Bandung Institute of Technology. I became a lecturer and researcher from Telkom University, Indonesia, in 2014. My research interests focus on the development of pattern design on textiles using geometry and symmetrical technique. My passion in the local community lead me to conduct some community services for some local ‘Batik’ artisans to create an innovative design of ‘Batik’ patterns.
I am currently a Postgraduate Researcher at the School of Design, University of Leeds, conducting my research along with supervisors to develop design innovation framework for local batik craftsment.
