Profile

Formally educated at Webster University in St. Louis, MO - School of Communications (MA in Advertising Marketing Communications 2013) and Helwan University, Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo, Egypt (B.A. in Graphic Design 2007), I consider myself to be an artist with great communication skills.

I fell in love with academia when I worked as a teaching assistant for my media professor during my graduate studies in the States, under the supervision of Professor Art Silverblatt (2012-2013). Before switching gear to business I worked as a graphic designer in an advertising agency for around two years, Horizon DraftFCB in Egypt (2009-2011). I began my career as a junior graphic designer in 2007 in a small marketing and PR agency based in Cairo, and over the past decade, I have focused on internationalising my network, thereby expanding my professional and diverse perspective.

From 2007 to 2016, I held several distinctive appointments. I was appointed Head of Advertising Communications Department in under two years of hard work at the Jeddah College of Advertising at the University of Business & Technology in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

In brief, I’m a lecturer with both artistic and professional knowledge. This has helped me create a productive classroom environment.

Most recently, at the beginning of 2018, I started my postgraduate studies at the University of Leeds, in School of Design, where yet again I pursue a new challenge.

Research interests
