Profile
MA Fine Arts (Awarded Distinction) at Sheffield Hallam University
I was born in 1982 in Cabanas, A Coruña, Spain. I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at The University of the Basque Country (Spain) in 2005; I then completed an MA in Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University in 2007. I have exhibited nationally (Liverpool, London, Sheffield) and internationally (Portugal, Spain, Norway, Istanbul, Italy). I am currently a studio holder at Patrick Studios (East Street Arts) in Leeds and my work is represented by the gallery Espacio Alexandra in Santander, Spain. My interests include drawing, photography and video in contemporary art, and the relationship between arts and the sciences (in particular astronomy). I am interested in art that explores our place somewhere in between the too big and far and the too little, too close.
