Student shortlisted for Adobe Design Achievement Awards

Congratulations to Graphic and Communications Design student, Melanie Edwards who has been shortlisted for a prestigious Adobe Design Achievement Award.

The ADAA is a global digital media competition for student creators. Connected to industry professionals, academic leaders, and top brands, the ADAA aims to launch the next generation of student careers.

Currently out on her year in industry, Melanie responded to two briefs which have seen her achieve semifinalist status.

Live with Less

Creating a video to accompany a one minute voice over, Melanie responded to the idea of living with less by creating a stop motion animation created with paper. The use of paper and low-tech feel, reflects on the idea that simpler life can still be beautiful.

Melanie’s storybook helps to explain the need for paper manufacturer, Fedrigoni to create a new retail space alongside its warehouse in Northampton. The story is illustrated with images of models made from Fedrigoni paper, showcasing the quality of their product.
