Funding and scholarships

We have a range of scholarships on offer to help you with funding your Masters study.
Alumni bursary
If you are a former student of the University of Leeds you may be eligible for a 10% alumni tuition fee bursary. If you think you’re eligible, you need to contact our School’s admissions team.
Postgraduate Masters Loan
If you are a UK national and plan to start a full-time, part-time or distance-learning taught or research Masters course, you may be able to apply for a government-backed loan.

Clothworkers’ Leeds Masters Scholarships
The School of Design offers five Clothworkers’ Leeds Masters Scholarships, worth £7,000, to enable eligible UK fee-paying students from under-represented groups to study a MSc Textile Sustainability and Innovation.
The scholarships do not have to be paid back and are in addition to the financial support you can receive from the government.

Clothworkers’ Academic Achievement Scholarships
All UK fee paying students who apply to MSc Textile Sustainability and Innovation are considered for a Clothworkers’ Academic Achievement Scholarship. The Scholarships provide three students with £4,000 towards their study and are based on an applicant’s academic achievement.
All UK fee paying student who apply by 30th June 2023 will be considered. There is no separate application process and decision will be based on grades at undergraduate level.
The announcement for the scholarship will be made by 31st July 2023.
