UK Northern Metaphysics Network

The next UK Northern Metaphysics Network event will take place on 11–12 May 2026.

The programme includes talks from ten graduate speakers alongside invited talks from faculty members within the network. This year’s invited speakers are Professor Heather Logue (Leeds) and Professor Matthew Tugby (Durham).

The network aims to bring together researchers working in metaphysics across the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield, York, and Durham.

This event is designed to support discussion of current research in metaphysics and to foster collaboration across participating institutions.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided across both days. The first day will conclude with the network’s annual AGM, followed by an optional evening meal (at attendees’ own expense).

There is no registration fee. are welcome to attend. To assist planning, please complete the registration form by 5 May 2026. Further details will be circulated to registered participants in advance of the event.

The event is organised by Jonathon Hawkins and Professor Helen Beebee, and is generously supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the White Rose College of the Arts and Humanities, and the Centre for Theoretical Philosophy.
