There are currently two vacancies available working as part of the Conference and Events Function, based in the International Medieval Congress.
Conference and Events Administrator (International Medieval Congress)
Working as part of the Conference and Events Function which generates over £2.5 million of function income, you will be based in the International Medieval Congress (IMC) office, and you will be responsible for providing support in the booking and organisation of The International Medieval Congress. The Congress has established itself as an annual event with an attendance of over 2,400 medievalists from all over the world. It is the largest conference of its kind in Europe and 2018 will see the 25th anniversary and expected numbers will be in excess of 2500.

Do you have experience of planning and delivering key events or conferences? Do you have excellent organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise your own workload and that of others?
The International Medieval Congress (IMC) is an annual conference showcasing the latest research on all aspects of the middle ages. In addition to providing an international forum for academic discussion and debate, the non-for-profit IMC serves as a platform for outreach and widening participation in the city and region and involves stakeholders from across the University and the city of Leeds. It is a flagship event for the University and the largest conference of its kind in Europe (with around 2400 participants each year) and 2018 will see the 25th anniversary and expected numbers will be in excess of 2500.
