Nous Vous named Illustrator in Residence by House of Illustration
Former Graphic and Communication Design students will take up a residency with House of Illustration, as their collective, Nous Vous, are awarded Illustrator in Residence 2016.
William Edmonds and Nicolas Burrows will take up a residency with House of Illustration, as their collective, Nous Vous, are awarded Illustrator in Residence 2016.
House of Illustration, which was founded by Sir Quentin Blake in 2014, is the UK’s only public gallery dedicated solely to illustration, with a creative programme of exhibitions, talks and events. The gallery started their artists in residency programme in 2014, and Nous Vous will be only the third to hold the role so far.
The Hackney-based collective create playful and intelligent visual work and impressed the judges with their spirited exploration of materials and commitment to finding new ways of working collaboratively.
The outcome of Nous Vous’ residency, which will explore the nature of collaboration, under the theme of ‘Working together’, will be exhibited at House of Illustration in March 2017.
Speaking to House of Illustration about their residency, Nous Vous said:
