The undergraduate History and Philosophy of Science Society has been busy interviewing School staff at Leeds about the careers, research, film choices and more.
28 January 2021: The History and Philosophy of Science (HPS) society‘s Fariha Choudhury and David Chesters chatted with Professor Gregory Radick, who is Professor of the History and Philosophy of Biology at Leeds. They talked about Greg’s pathway to HPS, his favourite film and more.
9 February 2021: The HPS society‘s Katie Mooney and Fariha Choudhury caught up with Dr Kat Rawling, who is a Lecturer in the History of Science and Medicine.
15 March 2021: Emily Storer and Katherine Chippett, from LUU’s History and Philosophy of Science Society, had a chat with Callum Duguid, who is a Lecturer in metaphysics and philosophy of Science. Dr Duguid’s PhD thesis defended a Humean perspective on laws of nature.
24 March 2021: The HPS society’s Sian Lister and David Chesters caught up with Dr Juha Saatsi, an expert in scientific realism and the philosophy of explanation. They chatted about Juha’s career to date, and reflected on teaching, studying, and researching in a pandemic.
