Curriculum Redefined Conversation Series: Student Research and Ethical Practice

Are you currently designing a module, redefining programmes and modules, or supervising undergraduate or MA research within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Cultures?

Are you interested in supporting Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures students to work with human subjects in an ethical and valuable way? Do you support research and scholarship ethics within a School?

Part of Pedagogic Research in the Arts (PRiA)’s Curriculum Redefined conversations series, and hosted in conjunction with the Arts, Humanities and Cultures Faculty Research Ethics Committee, this event aims to:

• Open up some of the ethical questions to be considered when planning to support students (undergraduate and PGT) in research on human subjects

• Outline the support available from the Faculty Research Ethics team for staff supporting student research, including reflective resources and the block approval process

• Start a generative discussion about the link between ethical practice and excellent student research, including but not limited to discussion about autoethnography and self-reflexive practice
