Online event: Integrity, leadership and culture with Jo Kenrick

Join Jo Kenrick and Jim Baxter as they discuss how organisations can embed integrity in their work.

In this second webinar on Corporate Integrity, Dr Jim Baxter is joined by Jo Kenrick. Jo is an experienced Non-Executive Director who has worked across multiple sectors in her executive and non-executive careers. As an executive she sat on the board of the retailers Homebase and B&Q, and as well as having food, non food and fashion retailing experience, she also held senior roles in sectors including house building, lottery, and fast moving consumer goods.

As a Non-Executive Director she has had extensive board, audit and remuneration experience and is currently the Senior Independent Director and Remuneration committee chair for the Coventry Building Society, and chairs the Current Account Switch Service, the Cash ISA Switch Service, and the PayM mobile payments system for Pay.uk. She sits on the board of Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and chairs their Remuneration committee, and is also a Non Exec for the FTSE 250 business Safestore. She is also chair of trustees for the children’s charity Make Some Noise.

Based on her extensive and varied experience, Jo will be talking about the role integrity plays in corporate culture. We can all think of examples of organisations that have integrity, and also of some that appear to lack integrity. If we have worked in multiple organisations with contrasting cultures, we may be able to talk about how it feels to work in an organisation where we know we can do what we think is right, as opposed to one where we are implicitly asked to leave our values at the door when we come into work. But it is notoriously difficult to pin down exactly what differentiates one kind of corporate culture from another. What makes some organisations the kind of place where integrity flourishes, and what does this look like when organisations get it right? How can people with integrity, and particularly leaders, affect the culture of the organisation they are working for, and in turn how does this culture affect them?

In this free, open webinar, we will look to shed light on the relationship between the individual, the organisation and its culture, through the lens of individual and corporate integrity.
