Description

The RHEON Labs (RL) KTP with the University of Leeds aims to revolutionise the sportswear industry through the development and commercialization of a highly strain-rate-sensitive RHEON Fibre, suitable for sports bras, performance athletic wear, and knitted shoe uppers. Key objectives involve bridging the knowledge gap in fibre and yarn processing at RL, enabling the reliable pilot-scale production of the RHEON Fibre. The collaboration with the University of Leeds (UoL) and it's, Leeds Institute of Textiles and Colour (LITAC), will focus on transferring critical expertise to scale up this innovative material successfully.

RHEON Labs will generate commercial impacts from the KTP by introducing RHEON fibres in three markets.

Over the 5 years post KTP, RHEON Labs anticipates a cumulative Revenue of £9,635,625 and a Net Profit of £3,179,756. The detailed calculations that lead to these values are given in the appendix.
