In this part-time, online course you’ll develop your skills in teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP).
You'll focus on how academic language is taught and explore different approaches within the field. You’ll look at the wider context, examining politics and cultures within higher education as they relate to understanding and teaching academic communication.
Who is the course for?
The course is aimed at English for Academic Purposes (EAP) practitioners who work in roles such as EAP tutors, lecturers, english language teachers, language centre directors and many more.
You may already have a qualification such as a PGCE, TESOL certificate, PhD in english language teaching and combining your experience and qualifications will make you an ideal candidate for this course.
How will I learn?
Taught by the University of Leeds Language Centre, you’ll study with experts who are directly involved in the practice and development of teaching English for Academic Purposes.
Online learning means you’ll take part in lectures and seminars, work individually and collaborate with others, take part in discussion boards, submit your work and check your grades all through our dedicated online learning environment.
