Profile
Alongside my research, I have worked as an archaeologist at several sites in the UK, Italy, and Sardinia, and also taught Roman history at Ribchester Roman Museum.
Research interests
My research focuses on the intersection of Roman material culture, the lived experiences of non-elite individuals, environmental history, and religion. I am particularly interested in Roman archaeology and how material evidence can help reconstruct local experiences of marginalised peoples that are often overlooked in Roman literary texts. My research also explores ways in which we can learn environmental lessons from the past, building stories of resilience in light of climate change.
