Profile

In 2022, I completed my undergraduate degree in Classical Civilisation at the University of Leeds, before moving to the University of St Andrews to undertake my MLitt in Classics (2023-2024). In addition to my research, I have worked as a field archaeologist and environmental archaeologist in the UK, Italy, and Sardinia. I have also taught Roman history at Ribchester Roman Museum.

Research interests

My research focuses on the intersection of Roman material culture, the lived experiences of non-elite individuals, environmental history, and religion. I am particularly interested in Roman archaeology and how material evidence can help reconstruct local experiences of marginalised peoples that are often overlooked in Roman literary texts. My research also explores ways in which we can learn environmental lessons from the past, building stories of resilience in light of climate change.
