An illustrated talk reflecting on 40 years of Opera North by Dr Kara McKechnie.
To mark the 40 year anniversary of Opera North as resident opera company in Leeds, Dr Kara McKechnie (University of Leeds, author of Opera North: Historical and Dramaturgical Perspectives on Opera Studies) tells the Company’s story in an illustrated talk.
The talk reflects on the Company’s rich history, offering reminders of key productions, as well as insights into the way the company makes work and contributes to city life beyond its performance work. There will be a Q&A session after the talk where you can share your own memories and experiences of Opera North.
