Centre for Cultural Value secures core funding and sets out next phase in Arts Professional
Stephen Dobson and Liz Harrop of the Centre for Cultural Value discuss their next steps after securing ‘the rare gift of stability’- thanks to confirmed multi-year funding
The Centre for Cultural Value has secured new core funding from the University of Leeds’ School of Performance and Cultural Industries, providing stability for the Centre’s work through to 2029.
The funding supports the Centre’s ongoing role in translating research into practice, strengthening evaluation and evidence, and working collaboratively with cultural organisations, policymakers, funders and freelancers across the UK. Transitional support from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation and Paul Hamlyn Foundation has also played a key role in enabling this milestone.
To mark this next chapter, Stephen Dobson and Liz Harrop from the Centre have authored a feature article for Arts Professional reflecting on the Centre’s work to date and setting out its vision for the coming years. The piece explores the need for fairer, more meaningful approaches to evaluation, stronger cultural data infrastructure, and place-based, community-led models of cultural development.
