Profile

I have worked at the University of Leeds Language Centre since 2010, teaching on a range of programmes including International Foundation Year and pre-sessionals. I was previously module leader for Language Science (ELU3015). Since 2024 I have been seconded to the School of Earth and Environment for in-sessional provision.

I am on the editorial board of the Journal of Learning Development in Higher Education. In 2025 my monograph A Humanistic Approach to English for Academic Purposes: People, Place, Compassion, Power was published by Palgrave MacMillan.
