I began my postgraduate research at the University of Leeds in the Autumn of 2021 after completing my postgraduate Masters degree in History at the University of Edinburgh. I am originally from the Los Angeles area of Califonia, USA.
I attended community college for my associate degrees in Psychology and Social and Behavioral Sciences before transferring to the University of California, Los Angeles where I completed a degree in History with a minor in European Studies.
Along this academic journey, I studied abroad twice. The first was to London where I found my love for History and the second venture was to Berlin, Germany, where I underwent an intensive language learning program in German. I now live in London.
My research centers around how childhood literature and activities affected the mindsets of young men during the first World War. My undergraduate thesis was in a similar research area.
