Profile
My primary academic background is in Art History, and my previous research has included Victorian art, Georgian portraiture, and the stone high crosses of England and Ireland. In my MA project, I focused on analysing these crosses to explore the links between art and education and politics in medieval society.
Research interests
I am currently researching the materiality and impact of the Irish high crosses, with a focus on the house-shaped capstones, and their relationship to the religious and funerary practices of the early medieval period.
