The Shed is a portable exhibition space created by four fine art Students at the University of Leeds. As a collective they aim to showcase local art right in the heart of the Leeds community.
The Shed acts as a meeting point for artistic practice and the local environment.
The exhibitions are situated within the hand built structure, which opens out to reveal a range of 2D and 3D works. Through modular shelving, artists can interact with the space to curate unique exhibitions in a range of locations.
The Shed will move from location to location, allowing art to interrupt the everyday, creating a social sculpture that artists and the community can respond to. Accessibility and easy interaction with art are the core values of the structure we have built.
We look forward to a future of thoughtful collaborations and collective movement.
